| The
Parish Community is blessed to have a wonderful Children’s Choir.
The Choir members are all pupils of St. Mary’s Senior National
School, and membership is open to anyone from 3rd to 6th class. They
practice every Wednesday in the Senior School, this involves a lot of
hard work and dedication from a great number of young people. During the School year they sing at the 11am Mass in the Church of Our Lady at our monthly “Do This In Memory” Mass, this is our preparation program for the First Holy Communion Children and their Families. They play a very important role in the Confirmation and First Holy Communion Ceremonies, and we are always truly grateful and proud of how they enhance both of these very special occasions that are such “Big Days” in our Parish. Christmas Day and Easter Sunday the Choir sing at our 10am Mass in the Church of Our Lady. As usual the whole of the congregation are uplifted by their singing on these two special days of celebration. We are indebted to these Young People and their Families for their involvement and commitment to Parish Life here in Blessington. It is always a joy to hear the Choir singing, St. Mary’s School and the Parish Community can rightly feel very proud of all of them, and how they use their talents. Musical Director
