Blessington Community College opened in 1993 on the Naas Road, and is a modern well equipped, co-educational second level school, established to meet the needs of all young people of Blessington, Kilbride, Brittas, Lacken, Valleymount and Hollywood.
The college offers a full range of post-primary courses, catering for the broad spectrum of abilities, to the highest academic standards. Priority enrolment is given to children resident or at school in these areas.
The college has the most modern and up-to-date facilities with well equipped and specialised rooms for languages, Science, Biology, Physics, Engineering, Metalwork, Technical Graphics, Home Ecomonics, computer Studies and a Gymnasium. Gaelic and soccer pitches have recently been developed on the college campus and teams from the school participate each year in school competitions. These facilities are also being used by various sporting organisations in the area.
