The group has been in existence for 30 years.
The over-riding aim of the group is to facilitate interaction and companionship
for those aged 60 years and over in Blessington and its surrounding area.
There are two group leaders, Mairéad and Pauline. Membership of the
group is open to all over 60 years. Our oldest member is 92 years young.
There are over 25 members of the group.
We meet every Thursday night between 8pm and 10pm in the Blessington Education
Centre on the Baltinglass Road.
Everybody is welcome – just come along on a Thursday night. Men especially
welcome! There is a small cover charge of €2 to cover tea, coffee and
biscuits.

community awareness, handbag exchange.
We hold a Christmas
party each year.
We will be having a History Night in the near future.
This group is a voluntary organisation and therefore has to fundraise to buy
equipment for arts & crafts etc. Any assistance would be gratefully appreciated.
If you could give
your time to the group to talk on a topic of interest to you or to
conduct activities with the group please get in touch with us. Your
help would be wonderful.
There is a great
