Our aim is to provide
a public library service for Blessington and surrounding areas. The
library contains a large stock of books, cds and audio books. We also offer
free internet access.
Open to all members of the public.
Blessington Library is located over Dunnes Stores in the New Town Centre.

To join the library please call in and bring proof of your address. Juniors
also need a parent’s signature.

New! Starting on Saturday February 13th 2011 at 11am - Knitting classes for ages 9+.
The Crafts council of Ireland has designated 2011 as the Year of Craft. Blessington Library will be encouraging participation by hosting knitting classes for children aged 9 and up on Saturday mornings, commencing on Saturday 12th February. Interested children should call in to the library and put their name down.
Ongoing Activities
Toddler Time
Toddlers 18 months to 3 years are invited to gather in the library to explore books and language in a fun and friendly setting. This weekly programme includes nursery rhymes, stories and songs. It is a great opportunity to have fun with your child and meet other people. Come along on Monday mornings at 11 a.m. All welcome.
Storytime & Crafts
Stories and crafts for children aged 3-6 years every Saturday morning at 11.30am. Come along and join in the fun.
Teen Space
We now have a new TEEN SPACE where teenagers can meet, listen to music and select books.
Monthly Book Club
We hold a monthly book club in Blessington Library on last Friday of
the month at 11.30am. Have a good read and a chat! Ring

Knitting Group
Come along to the library on Mondays mornings from 11am to 1pm and join in our knitting group. All welcome from those who have never knitted to seasoned knitters! Have a chat
and
some refreshments.
Come along for a chat and a cuppa. An ideal way to learn new skills. Don’t forget to bring your current
project.
Meditation & Yoga
Come along for Mindfulness, movement, meditation and mystical therapy with Tomás. All welcome on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m.
