“Do this in Memory” is a programme uniquely designed for the preparation of children for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion.

We in St. Mary’s Junior National School are pleased to implement “Do this in Memory” in close collaboration and with the co-operation of the parents of our pupils in 2nd Class.

Once a month, (see dates below), the children and their families are invited to attend a Special 11.00am Sunday Mass where they play key roles in the celebration of the Eucharist. The programme has proven to be a marvellous success. Through participation, the parents and community are actively involved, the children’s understanding of the Sacrament is deepened and Holy Communion becomes a yearlong celebration rather than a once off.

Along with Ms. Broderick, Ms. Collins, Betty & Fr. Tim, I look forward to joining with you in the preparation of your children for First Holy Communion
